Where to buy Trix cereal in Canada
This is a product general mills either discontinued in Canada, or had stopped receiving orders for from supermarkets. Their commercials also stopped. Trix is a sugary cereal which features a rabbit in their advertising, who is always trying to take the crunchy goodness away from children. He almost never succeeds, with a popular saying "Silly Rabbit, Trix are for kids!"
So, if you're looking at this, you're probably wondering one question: Where can I buy Trix cereal in Canada? It's unfortunately not that easy, as you'll probably never run into anywhere that carries it. The odd corner store or specialty shop might have some, but there's not a lot of them around. You should also be careful at the corner stores - their Trix cereal could be years old! Always check the expiration dates which are usually printed on the top of the box.
Recently Trix came out with a different shape. It's no longer the crunch shapes of fruit people are familiar with. General Mills replaced their production with little colored balls. They have the same taste however, but are a lot less fun to look at and eat. Here is a picture of their recent box art:
There are many other delicious items branded to this you won't be able to find in Canada. For example, there are Trix fruit snacks! I'm not sure who makes them. Yoplait makes Trix yogurt. These are small little containers of cotton candy, and one other flavor, available in supermarket shelves. Walmart was carrying them the last time I visited the United States.
There's only one easy way to get Trix in Canada. Buy it from the USA or find someone else to. You could try locating a grocery store or wholesaler (if you have a large order) that can ship it across the border. Know any friends crossing over? Have them stop at a supermarket and grab a few boxes for you. If you live near the border in a town like Sault St. Marie it will be easy to just hop across yourself and grab some.
